Hiya

If you look at the home page of this website you can see Snowdon via the webcam - also take a look at the Met office.. It looks like there's quite a bit of snow up there. We're heading up there at the end of March and I'm just hoping we get to see a bit of snow. I've only ever walked up in warmer weather though I've heard the Llanberis can be quite treacherous as it becomes extremely icey in cold weather.

Hope this helps!

If you're an inexperienced walker then please go with someone that is experienced.
Snow on Snowdon is always likely at this time of year and will not necessarily be the white fluffy stuff. Because of the icy conditions it will be very compacted & very slippy hence the recommendations for crampons and ice axe. The slightest of slips could tear a ligament and leave you stranded.
The picture was taken on the Pyg Track on March the 11th 2005, we were at about 2500ft just approaching the zigzags to the summit. My wife who is an inexperienced walker was not happy walking on the snow so at this point the decision had been taken to abandon the walk and return to Pen y Pas. Never be afraid to afraid to abandon a walk.
