In order to raise funds for an expedition to Ecuador this summer my friends and I would like to do a sponsored walk up Snowdon, however, there are a few things we are unsure of.

Your website proved very useful however, would we have to pay to climb Snowdon? and although we are all 16 or 17 does this make a difference to whether or not we are allowed to climb Snowdon without an adult?

It is likely that we would want to climb snowdon in a day, preferably between 10th and 13th of April. Is this possible?

Hope to hear from you soon,

Sian Gray

There is no charge to climb Snowdon although there are opportunities to donate monies for mountain rescue or Snowdon management, should you wish.
There are numerous paths to Snowdon Summit which can easily be walked in a day although which one you choose may depend on any hillwalking experience you have, or weather conditions on the day. I would advise that you walk with an experienced adult as the weather can change very quickly & Wales is notorious for being very wet.
I hope this helps and if you have any further questions let me know.
