Death of Michael Todd In Snowdon

Everybody at Gogledd and Snowdon.com is saddened by the death of Michael Todd, the Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police, who disappeared while out walking on Snowdon last Monday night.

Our thoughts are with Michael's family at this tricky time.

It is a shame indeed, it just goes to to underline the dangers of the mountain. After all we don't know all of the events surrounding the matter at present. The mountain realy was inhospitable yesterday, heard it took 26 rescuers to bring the body safely down the mountain. All credit to the mountain rescue services and the largely unsung work they carry out all year round with both rescues and training, they really are a dedicated bunch.
