Well done to the Snowdon Mountain Egg Group aka S.M.E.G who all completed the 3500ft climb up Snowdon on August bank holiday Monday. Climbing Snowdon is a challenge for most walking groups, but take eight twenty year olds with no real experience of climbing mountains and give them an egg and spoon!
We began our expedition at Pen-y-pass and followed the path to the Pyg track, unfortunately we didn't realise how tough this track actually is and it did involve quite a bit of climbing but we managed to do it even while balancing an egg on a spoon! After leaving a trail of eggs up Snowdon (sorry if anybody reading this was there that day and stepped in an egg!) we finally reached the summit. We found ourselves in a cloud! All I could see was my egg which was starting to look very tasty! To get down we followed the railway track. After a while we noticed we were no longer following the track or any people! We'd gone the wrong way! Luckily we met a lady who was walking down and she gave the 3 drivers a lift to the cars in Llanberis 20 miles away! Lets look at the map in future guys!
All this was done to raise money for the Mold Community Hospital wards, we raised £200!
Well done guys! Who were Zazel, Owen, Johnpaul, Owain, Marc, Iainluke, Alex and there's me - Jude
